Pada tanggal 24 November 2011, Pengurus Besar Persatuan Diabetes Indonesia (PB PERSADIA) berangkat menuju Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur, untuk melantik pengurus baru Persatuan Diabetes Indonesia (PERSADIA) Cabang Kutai Kartanegara.

Persadia sebagai organisasi diabetisi terbesar di Indonesia berada dibawah naungan dari IDF. IDF sendiri merupakan sebuah organisasi yang memayungi sekitar 200 perkumpulan diabetes lokal/nasional yang berasal dari lebih dari 160 negara. Organisasi ini sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1950-an. The elected IDF representatives for the Western Pacific Region are: Chair: Yutaka Seino, Japan Vice-Chair: Nam Han Cho, South Korea Regional Manager: Esther Ng Member associations of the IDF Western Pacific Region. The IDF Western Pacific Region (WPR) is the largest of the IDF Regions in terms of population and is the most diverse economically, politically and culturally. The member associations the WPR from East Asia, the South-East Asian Peninsula and Oceania, represent a substantial proportion of the Region's population. Steps are being taken to expand the membership and to bring in member associations from those parts of the Region which are less well represented - particularly from the South-East Asian Peninsula and Oceania. The IDF Western Pacific Region holds a Congress every three years. The 9th IDF-WPR Congress will take place in Kyoto, Japan on November 25-27 2012.
